Dr. Duncan “Om” MacDougall was an american doctor from the early XX century who was determined to measure the weight of the soul, determining after several experiments it was 21 grams.
At AMS we were as obsessed as Mr “Om” with the weight of our state of the art stem, so decided to name it “Om”. Coincidence or not, Om 45mm length stem weights 121 grams thanks to extensive use of CNC machining.
AMS Om Stem 45 features a super low 30mm stack, for improved cockpit height adjusting possibilities, and wide handlebar clamp for increased torsional rigidity and reduced stress on the handlebar. All the graphics are laser engraved over anodized 6082 T6 aluminium for lifelong durability and has been designed and made in Barcelona.
All Mountain Style is a Barcelona based company which designs, makes and sells mountain bike parts for passionate mountain bikers. With the introduction of the Om Stem, AMS enters a new market segment, and as it did previously with the honeycomb frame guards it does by defining a new benchmark in terms of design, quality and performance leveraging our extensive expertise in engineering and product development.
